Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a driven and commercially focused Sports Sales Executive to actively source, develop, and convert new business within the Youth travel and sports environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, growing revenue streams, and building strong relationships both locally and internationally.
This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a target-driven environment and has a strong understanding of the youth, sports, and travel markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, source, and secure new business opportunities within both local and international youth markets
Drive revenue growth by converting leads into confirmed business
Achieve and exceed set sales targets and KPIs
Conduct regular client follow-ups and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Collaborate on proposals, tenders, and presentations to secure new business
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients globally
Ensure high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction
Present solutions aligned to client needs, budgets, and expectations
Continuously review and enhance product offerings to remain competitive
Identify new market opportunities and areas for growth
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and pricing
Contribute to sales strategy and business development initiatives
Maintain and manage CRM systems (Zoho preferred)
Ensure accurate and timeous reporting and documentation
Manage sales budgets and track performance metrics
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Support cross-functional collaboration across business units
Assist colleagues when required, including outside standard hours if necessary
Requirements
Matric certificate (non-negotiable)
Travel & Tourism qualification
Minimum 3 – 5 years’ sales experience within the tourism industry (inbound and outbound)
Strong knowledge of the youth/school travel environment (essential)
Proven track record of achieving sales targets
Experience using Tourplan (essential)
Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho (advantageous)
