Overview

We are looking for 2 experienced Senior Travel Specialists (FIT) to join a high-performing team. This role requires a strong background in designing, quoting, and managing bespoke travel itineraries across Southern Africa for international agents, ensuring exceptional service delivery from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Design, quote, and book customised FIT travel itineraries for international clients and agents

Manage reservations for all touring services, including accommodation, transport, and activities

Negotiate and secure the best available rates with preferred suppliers

Convert quotes into confirmed bookings within required turnaround times

Manage bookings and supplier allocations using Tourplan

Oversee all pre-, during-, and post-travel processes to ensure seamless delivery

Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers, agents, and guides throughout journeys

Handle amendments, cancellations, client queries, and emergencies professionally

Monitor booking profitability and ensure margin targets are met

Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams when required

Manage payments, supplier accounts, and related queries

Maintain accurate administration and manage shared and personal inboxes

Requirements

Matric / Grade 12

Travel & Tourism qualification (advantageous)

Minimum 7 years’ experience in FIT travel consulting (non-negotiable)

Strong working knowledge of Tourplan (essential)

Excellent knowledge of Southern Africa destinations, including routes, seasonality, and logistics

Proven experience working with international inbound travel agents
